happy

. I have been thinking about it quite a bit and I have realized that the real goal for most people is to have the freedom to do what they want, when they want. Maybe the ultimate goal for me is to be able to work towards having the freedom to do whatever I choose without resistance.

NEGATIVITY!

so lately i have learned a great deal about how to be happy. i have been reading "How We Choose to Be Happy" by rick foster and greg hicks. it is a very good book and talks about how happiness is not gained from materialism or quick fixes, but from within yourself. i work at an upper crust car dealership, and believe me, those people are hardly ever happy!! mostly just pushy and rude. Greg Hicks is the husband of Abraham Hicks (one of the narrators on "The Secret" video, first release). i watch "The Secret" as well about every 2 weeks or so, just to keep myself in a positive thought process. i have noticed lately that most people i come across are negative, some more than others. it is interesting that people seem to be hard-wired for negativity. most of the people i work with go thru emotional ups and downs, are worrying a great deal and just have no faith in anything. it is very sad to see people live their lives like this day in and day out. i will continue to try to overcome this negativity. i have been better and keeping myself in a positive mood mainly by thinking about something funny or not taking things so seriously. works for me!

The Complications of Everyday Life

brand new blog! very excited to write my thoughts down here. I was just talking to my wife the other day about how much crap there is that we all deal with every day. we all say things like, "who has time?", meditation, yoga? those are good goals and something that is hard for most of us to achieve. i will be talking about some ways to "de-clutter" our lives. i will vent a little and talk about all those things that just seem to get in the way of living life to the fullest. welcome to the blog!
